Style It Yourself evenings are a great way to build better relationships with your clients, educate them on using products and tools correctly at home and help to increase your retail sales.
Most clients will never be able to recreate their hairstyle at home as good as when they left the salon. They won’t be able to blow dry their hair correctly, straighten their fringe, use too much styling product or use wet products on dry hair and vice versa. If you educate them how to recreate their styles at home with the correct products and let them practice in salon, then they will be happier clients and will value the extra service that you are giving. You can make this a part of every visit, by offering them the opportunity to finish the style with your assistance. Show them how to use the products correctly, hold the hairdryer and use the straighteners or curling wand.
You can take it a step further and create ‘Style It Yourself’ evenings where your clients can choose from a set of 3-5 looks and your stylists will guide them in recreate the looks. Offer special retail packages on the night to buy the products used at a reduced price, your clients will feel so proud and happy to be able to style their hair that it will be a lot easier to retail to them.
