Services: Creating service packages for your clients

You probably offer a host of different services in your salon, but do you offer tiered service packages? If you don’t, perhaps you should, because if you do, you’ll be in a better position to sell more and could even use them to sell retail products.

Your service packages should be in different price tiers, contain a mixture of treatments, massages, colour services and retail products, and offer a saving (vs. purchasing the individual components separately.)

Example:
The Colour Brush Luxury Package – £35
-Intensive salon treatment under heat
-Gloss service or Colour Blow dry
-Styling product to take home with a styling consultation
-Care product to take home

The Colour Brush Pamper Me Package – £20
-Intensive salon treatment under heat
-Styling product to take home with a styling consultation

The Colour Brush Treat Me Package – £10
-Salon treatment

Offering three different packages gives your clients 4 choices instead of just two: yes or no.

It’s perfect to introduce at Christmas:

“With your Christmas appointment we are offering you a choice of three Christmas packages to give you perfect hair for the celebrations. We have a basic ‘treat me package’, which includes an in-salon treatment; a ‘pamper package’, which includes an intensive treatment and a step-by-step styling consultation with a styling product to take home; or the ‘luxury package’, which includes an intensive treatment and a step-by-step styling consultation with a styling product to take home as well as a glossing service and a care product to take home. What can we book you in for?”

Or:

“Would you like to book a treatment at your next appointment? We offer colour blow-dries, glossing services and in-salon treatments”

Service packages give you a lot more to work with and make it easier for you clients to see the different levels of service your salon can offer.
